THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO STAY. We needed a place to stay in a hurry and this little slice of paradise was available. We loved our stay, from the easy check-in, to the fireplace that was on and 2 bottles of wine, and a thank you card waiting for our arrival. What a wonderful way of greeting guests. That’s what you get, top-level service for a beautiful place to stay. The kitchen was a full kitchen (and dishwasher), and the bed was very comfortable. This place has it all (I can’t imagine how nice it would be in the summer). Grant and Jo are great; you will not be disappointed at all.

This is one of the BEST airbnbs I have stayed at and I’m a host! Everything you could think of was provided, with some extra little touches. It was such a wonderful city escape! The place is so cute, even cuter than the photos. The lake is beautiful across the street, and all of the friendly animals (dogs, cats and a pig!!) make this such a memorable experience. I had such a great time relaxing by the fireplace with my cat. There is a lot to do in the area from hiking to spa treatments, and Grant is available and so friendly to chat with or offer help! Grant and Jo were great. Very friendly and hospitable. The neighbourhood was great, with many different things around and clearly listed inside and sent before for planning purposes. Very pet-friendlyKirstie and made sure our dog was also taken care of to enjoy the stay as well! Would recommend and will for sure be going back!

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful place on the lake! The location is absolutely stunning, peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The cabinet was cozy, spotless, and had everything we needed and more. From kitchen essentials, a bed for my dog, to extra blankets and pillows and even games! The hosts truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Speaking of the hosts! What great people! They were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need. You can tell they really care about their guests. Waking up to the lake view at the morning was a dream. I can’t recommend this place enough and would absolutely love to come back!

I can’t say enough about this place. A well-deserved 5 stars, pristine outdoors and inside, beautifully decorated, spotless, they truly have thought of everything. Fully upgraded amenities, and I loved the towel warmer. If you are looking to escape the city without the 2-hour-plus drive. This stunning cabin on Musselman’s Lake is calling.

Beautiful home with wonderful hosts! The space had everything my husband and I plus our two dogs needed for a long weekend away. Our dogs enjoyed the trails right behind the home, and my husband and I enjoyed the recommended local restaurants and breweries. It was about a 45 minute drive to Toronto which was just right for spending the day downtown. The lake view was incredibly beautiful and the front porch which faced the lake was perfect for winding down at the end of the night. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. I recommend this home!

My boyfriend and I couldn’t be happier with our weekend at Grant and Jo’s cabin! The cabin is absolutely stunning and the location is perfect for a quiet and romantic getaway. We had such an amazing time and fell in love with all of the pets on the property. We loved going through the walking trails that are maintained by the wonderful community at Musslemens Lake. Grant and Jo are wonderful hosts and we can’t wait to visit again :)!

Grant and Jo were the perfect hosts. Me and my NOW FIANCÉ were looking for a calm, peaceful getaway and we got that and more! Grant knew in advance about the proposal and hooked us up with a photographer for the engagement. This air bnb has such a beautiful backyard, trails, and tons of down to earth things to do. We appreciate the hospitality and look forward hopefully to coming back!

My husband and I had a wonderful week long stay with Grant and Jo! They treated us like family and went out of their way to ensure our dog Bailey was warmly welcomed with a thoughtful surprise and bed. The place was a little slice of heaven. Very peaceful while also having lots to do. We particularly enjoyed the paddle-boarding, hiking, hot tub and corn hole! It was lovely getting to know both Pete and Logan. This place will always hold a special place in our heart as our dog Bailey learned to swim and paddle-board here. I highly recommend booking!

Grant and Jo went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Check-in and access to amenities was flawless. The area is serene and quiet; just what we were hoping for in a weekend out of the city.

if I could give us 10 star review I would. not only is Grant’s place pet friendly it is pet welcome! We arrived to find two brand new dog toys on a freshly laundered dog bed with a welcome note for our pups! the backyard enclosure is brilliant if you are traveling with your animals. We booked a very last minute get away for our anniversary and couldn’t have been happier. Grant & Jo were incredible hosts and have thought of everything when it comes to amenities. The space was extremely clean with fun but tasteful decor. The cottage was ready and we arrived to music & wine as a welcome gift. Everything was set up to perfection. We enjoyed Sunsets on their dock, walking our dogs up to the ice cream shop, playing darts and cards, sitting by the fireplace with morning coffee and eating charcuterie boards in the backyard beside Pete the potbelly pig. the hiking trail access at the back of the property was also fantastic. Our stay was absolutely perfect and we will be back.

Grant & Jo’s hospitality is truly unmatched! They embody a level of kindness that’s rare to find, making us feel we were among the fortunate few to have met them. From the moment we walked into the cabin, their thoughtful personalized touches enveloped us with warmth, making us feel instantly at home. Example: Not only did we get a personalized welcome package, but Grant & Jo also left a “welcome” dog bed, toy, and note for BubbaJoes, our fur-baby. Their cabin offers the perfect blend of tranquillity and excitement, with views of the lake on one side, and access to their open yard on the other; where we spent many days/nights by the bonfire, in the hot tub, and simply hanging outside. To bat, we had the privilege to meet and feed bananas to Pete the pig! Overall, our two-week stay was filled with so many memories and experiences that we’ll forever be grateful for. In all honesty, we’re already plotting our return to experience the cabin during a different season. Highly recommend!

This is a charming and cozy two-people (plus dog) getaway from Toronto, very close to the city and worth the price. Grant & Jo clearly love what they do, the cabin is very well-decorated, and cozy, with plenty of surprises and charm. The hosts thought of every detail to make you feel taken care of. They are very communicative and friendly and make you feel at home. Our dog loved cozying up to the fireplace and running along the hills. We liked the hot tub, and the amazing vibe of the house and the outside area. Would definitely recommend this stay, it will leave you with a great impression and memories. We will make sure to come back for the summer to try out all the lake activities.

Grant and Jo’s cabin was above and beyond my expectations. I spent a magical month here in November and got to enjoy the location as the season changed. The lake was lovely for evening walks and the private outdoor space was perfect to relax in. This cabin is really a great option for a stay-cation getaway as it felt remote and removed from the city but was still close enough that I could drive into Toronto when needed. The hosts were incredibly accommodating and eager to share local recommendations.

Best airbnb experience I’ve had by far, a hidden gem that is close to the city but feels like it should be another two hours further away. Grant and Jo are exceptional hosts, warm and helpful and have a very pet-friendly place. Cannot recommend enough.

Can’t say enough about our experience at Grant’s place. Cozy, homey, yet chic. Extremely well-stocked and perfect for fur babies. Appreciated the very thoughtful touches, as well: dog bed, treats for the pup, and a welcome card and wine for us. Wi-fi was excellent, so if you’re looking for a relaxed vibe during a work trip without being too far from the city, this is definitely the place. Hot tub and backyard lights were a win, the trails in the back are breathtaking – you must check them out while you’re there, and the piggy is so cute. Also enjoyed the friendly dog and cats on the property. The lake is lovely and we enjoyed the canoe and paddle boat. The new fishbone restaurant was a great recommendation from Grant. We also loved the adorable ice cream shop across the street from the restaurant! Thanks so much for the lovely home away from home experience!

Beautiful space! Grant and Jo are such wonderful and thoughtful hosts. They have done such a great job putting together such a cozy and peaceful space. The sunset views on the lake are gorgeous. Would highly recommend!

Our stay at Grant’s cabin on Musselman’s lake exceeded our expectations in every way. The cabin was spotless and Grant/Jo had the fire on for when we arrive, which was a very nice touch! The handwritten notes and the toy for our dog was also a very thoughtful touch that we really appreciated.

The space was perfect, it had everything we need plus so much more. The hot tub was wonderful, the view was fantastic and the hiking in the area was exactly what we needed. Getting to meet Pete the Pig was also very fun, he was VERY friendly! 

 There are also lots of great restaurants to choose from in less than a 10-minute drive and for anything else you could Uber Eats and have hot food within the hour.



Grant and Jo are very responsive, friendly, and accommodating. You could tell they take a lot of pride in their place, the surrounding community, and how you experience it. Overall, this was one of the best experiences we’ve had at an Airbnb and we will 100% be back this summer!

Grant was an excellent host. The cabin was even better than described, was very comfortable and cozy. Grant made sure we had anything we needed and was very responsive. Gave us local recommendations for places to eat and things to do. Very dog friendly, even leaving a toy for my dog. The cabin was equipped with anything you needed and was situated on a very nice property.

Wonderful cabin – even better then described. Photos do not do this justice-cabin comfortable with everything you need…lovely decorations and very comfortable furniture and bed…spent 5 days here over Christmas and only left twice. Lots of snow and very pretty when snowing. Grant and Jo were amazing hosts-communication was too notch and they very kindly made sure I was okay and even brought me homemade chicken noodle soup!

Extremely dog friendly with fenced in yard to let the dog out. We very much enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back…Pete the pig made a appearance on the morning that we left and we fed him carrots. Also, hot tub available to use and we sat out there in the falling snow, winter hats on, drinking cocktails with the wooden Bigfoot watching. Just wonderful!

I loved my stay at this place. Absolutely adorable and my hosts were so polite and caring. I would be more than happy to stay again! Super easy to make plans with and felt right at home. Will always be a pleasant memory for me and my dog! They even left a toy for him which was so sweet. Just the best. So grateful and worth every penny.

From a welcome gift for my dog to local wine for me the surprise and delights blew me away. The area is a perfect mix of trails, a lake, backyard and parks. My dog could run and explore all day and there was no worry about traffic. Going to the local ice cream shop is a perfect treat where you can also buy some great gifts.

Try the local pub the food was amazing 50 minutes north of Toronto without the headache of the 400 highway and you feel like you are millions of miles away where you can truly exhale, enjoy and recharge. If I could give 100000 stars I would as the stay was beyond a 5 star experience. I have stayed in some of the most beautiful hotels around the world and this stay rivaled any 5 star hotel anywhere. And you will fall in love with Pete!!

This was easily one of the best experiences we’ve ever had traveling with Airbnb. Grant and Jo went above and beyond (in every sense) to ensure our stay was special.

We were traveling from Toronto, and were drawn to this listing because it’s close to the city, but still looked like an escape into nature. We were thrilled as soon as we walked in the door.

First, the property was everything we’d hoped for and more. Sparkling clean, with every modern amenity of a condo/hotel/apartment, but a distinct rustic charm throughout. Fun, quirky decor, a comfortable bed, modern appliances, air conditioning, a gas fireplace, fast internet, and a hot tub are all nice to have, but the greatest asset of this home is the gorgeous waterfront view. The sunset view from the front porch is wonderful.

We brought our dog, and she loved the backyard. Plenty of space to run around, and there was a fenced in area so we felt secure leaving her out there to enjoy the outdoors while we relaxed inside. You’ll meet Pete the pig, a charming potbelly who lives in his own little enclosure in the backyard. Grant let us feed Pete a cob of corn, and we grew quite fond of him during our trip.

There is a massive trail system connected to the back yard, and we enjoyed several scenic hikes during our stay. The Musselman’s Lake community is quaint and welcoming, with some great shops and restaurants all within walking distance. The Coolest Ice Little Cream Shop is a must stop, and Nono Crupi’s Brooklyn style pizza was fantastic.

This place is an absolute gem, and very convenient with or without a vehicle — we took the Go Train from Toronto, then an Uber, and were relaxing with our feet up within an hour and 15 minutes of travel time.

Lastly, we can’t say enough good things about our hosts, Grant and Jo. They were delightful people who gave us a warm welcome, and made us feel at home immediately. Book this property for a weekend getaway from the city, work here remotely for a week, or stay longer and enjoy everything the area has to offer. You won’t be disappointed! We will definitely be back.
